Space Command KickStarter Launched – Project To Include Takei, Shimerman, Picardo & Phillips May 16, 2012

The previously teased new project "Space Command" has now launched their KickStarter campaign. The envisioned series of sci-fi films feature a number of Star Trek vets behind the camera and they have also announced a number of Trek actors who are also involved, including Armin Shimerman, George Takei, Ethan Phillips and Robert Picardo. Star Trek: The Next Generation Promotional HD Screenings To Be Held In July May 15, 2012

As previously reported the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation arrives on Blu-ray on July 24th. And in order to promote the release, CBS will be holding theatrical screenings across the USA in advance of the release. Chris Pine To Produce and Star In Indie Comedy He Co-wrote w/ His Buddies

Chris Pine is about to follow his friend and Star Trek co-star Zachary Quinto into the indie movie producing business. Waterstone Entertainment has just announced a new comedy co-starring Pine called "Mantivities." Trek’s new Kirk also co-wrote and is co-producing. More details below.

New Interactive Book To Tell Illustrated History Of Star Trek’s Federation

One of the more exciting pieces of Star Trek non-fiction has been announced today. "STAR TREK Federation: The First 150 Years" is new officially licensed hardcover book that will cover history for the first 150 years of the United Federation of Planets. In 2010 La-La Land released a 2 CD expanded version of Jerry Goldsmith’s score for Star Trek V: The Final Frontier which includes 45 minutes of previously unreleased material.
